Intriguing opening episode. I've never read the books this is based on, but I've heard good things and was excited to check this out- and so far so good. The Cultural Revolution scenes are pretty heartbreaking and I'm looking forward to learning how it connects to the present where the really crazy stuff seems to be happening.
