Alexander's first meeting with Darius on the battlefield couldn't really go any better as he routs the Persian army and captures Darius's wife and daughter. Particularly fascinating how he was already thinking multiple steps ahead of everyone with his decision to ignore Darius and instead divert to Egypt.
