🗓 Friday Wrap Up
Today ended up being kind of busy and chaotic. Mary was working this morning so I had to run Nathan over to school midmorning (and then pick him up an hour later). That disrupted a planned Zoom meeting with my supervisor (not a problem, we just had to reschedule into my usual lunch). I ate early while Nate was in class then went to pick him up. Then got back and did the meeting.
Friday is typically a running day with my daughters. Usually we would do it at 11am during my typical lunch time, but it had to be pushed into the afternoon because of my rescheduled meeting. Today we kept it to twenty minutes because it snowed a little bit and I just wasn't feeling it too much between all the delays and the cold conditions. The girls all ran well and I even came in last by about a second so that was awesome.
I worked a little bit longer than usual because of my mid-afternoon run and then worked on a few Christmas projects until it was time to read a chapter of Deathly Hallows. We were on the big Battle of Hogwarts chapter near the end and had to stop two-thirds of the way through before getting dinner. I'm still quite surprised by how many details I'd forgotten about the seventh book in the series.
The rest of the evening was pretty uneventful other than feeling kind of drained. We got in our usual family Advent readings and then it was time for everybody to get ready for bed. At this point, I'm looking forward to sleeping in tomorrow.
