💻 MacBook Air Escapades
I did a little bit of IT gig work tonight and helped a friend setup and move into his new 15" M3 MacBook Air. He was kind enough to gift me the 13" 2015 MacBook Air he was replacing after I migrated all his data and setup. Given my recent Open Core Legacy Patcher experience, it seems like an obvious candidate to upgrade to Sonoma. I'll probably try to do that over the weekend at some point.
I also have a 2013 13" MacBook Air on its last legs that I've been meaning to pull my data off before I take it into work and e-cycle it. After getting home tonight, I fired it up again and discovered that I should probably hurry up because it's shutting down out of the blue after running for short periods. The drive is encrypted with FileVault 2 as well so I can't just pull the ssd and access the data elsewhere.
All that said, the 13" MacBook Air is one of my all-time favorite Mac hardware designs and I'm happy to acquire another one that my younger daughters can use.
