π«β‘οΈ Also, I'd add that I usually just say there's a power outage or an "outage" (rather than blackout) because it's usually limited to a neighborhood or section of town and I think of a blackout as a city-wide event.

π«β‘οΈ A brownout is probably a more accurate term. Complete disruptions caused by weather and fallen tree branches are way more common around here than power distribution failures so I don't tend to use the term very regularly.

I paid attention to some of the spoiler announcements over the last couple weeks, but my knowledge of all the commons and uncommons for drafting purposes is pretty weak at the moment.

π Had my first eye exam in forever last night and ordered some new glasses now that I have an updated prescription. I went with frames that are pretty similar to what I already use, but image mockup technology has improved a lot since the last time I ordered so I amused my kids with pictures of myself with wild frames first.

π½πΊπΈ Looks like only one of my two judge position choices won their race. The winner I didn't vote for is currently working as a deputy prosecutor and won quite handily which in retrospect feels predictable given the conservative tendencies of Spokane County. Regardless, all four candidates were well qualified and I'm perfectly content with the outcome.

π½πΊπΈ All done. There were actually two judge races that required some effort on my part- all four candidates seemed solid and as strictly non-partisan positions it's interesting to figure out who to choose.

π§ββ The other new tech I added to the deck was one copy of Reito Sentinel for late game resiliency and self mill to get 3 cards closer to Approach when it's 7 cards deep in your library after the first casting.

π§ββ I've been fiddling around with a couple different Approach of the Second Sun decks for Bo1 Explorer lately. The original deck was mono-white, but I found splashing blue to play Supreme Verdict instead of Shatter the Sky wasn't disruptive to the deck's play patterns and is a superior board wipe.

πΊ I've been enjoying Shantaram on AppleTV quite a bit. I've never read the novel, but I may have to track it down. 1980s-era Bombay is a fascinating milieu and I find the characters and story quite compelling.
