Looks like the recent levy for the Mead School District is ahead but really close. With property values and taxes climbing so much in Spokane County over the last few years I can understand the reluctance of some but for me there's never a question.

Played a Boros Burn deck based on the one that Mythic Mike brewed up that's pretty fun in Standard. Experimenting with Destroy Evil so that I have an answer for enchantments and big creatures. The Case of the Crimson Pulse is a pretty awesome card draw engine.

Saw the police tape for an early morning Police shooting near Nevada and Wellesley on my commute today and guessed that there had been some kind of armed robbery at one of the convenience stores. Turns out it was a lot more messed up situation.

Pretty entertaining game overall. As a disinterested Seahawk and Patrick Mahomes fan (ever since picking him on a hunch for fantasy football during his breakout second season) I was pulling for the Chiefs. I will now probably watch less than a handful of NFL games until the next Super Bowl.

Unfortunately have to take a break from the Shantaram audio book because my two week loan was up and there was already a hold on it. As of today I'm just over half way through and a little ways past where the television show ended. Considering it's over 40 hours long I imagine very few library patrons can finish it in two weeks without renewing.

Mixed results premier drafting on the secondary account yesterday. 2-3 with a complete pile and then 1-3 with a decent azorius detectives deck that flooded out every game even after I dropped a land.

I think the blue card and 10 minutes off the pitch for dissent and tactical fouls is a reasonable rule change, but as others have pointed out it should probably just be that all yellow cards result in 10 minutes in the sin bin.

I'm about a third of the way through Shantaram now and I've enjoyed the many elements that the Apple TV show didn't have room to include. I'm intrigued to see what will come of his task to educate young Tariq in English and western ways.

The rumors of Gio Lo Celso going to Turkey for game time are absolutely bizarre. His constant injuries this season have been the only thing that have kept him off the field. He's been great when fit, unfortunately that's been far too rare and a likely reason for him to go in the summer but not now in midseason while injured.
