πΊ Young Sheldon S1E12 - A Computer, a Plastic Pony, and a Case of Beer ππ Sheldon's childhood love of RadioShack hits me right in the nostalgia feels. I used to pour over their catalogs and my family's first computer came from there as well. We got our TRS-80 Color Computer in the early 80's though, but I was approximately the same age as Sheldon. Anyway the story checks out and it figures that getting a computer would end up being a huge source of conflict between Mary and George but it all works out happily in the end.

The green bean part with Missy was poignant and I don't even remember how an Eskimo fits into this one.

β½οΈ Wow! Ange is definitely trying some stuff with today's lineup. Maddison starts at left wing, Son at striker, and Johnson on the right. Bentancur, Hojbjerg, and Sarr are the midfield three, and Micky Van De Ven starts at left back with Dragusin at left center back.

πΊ Young Sheldon S1E5 - A Solar Calculator, a Game Ball, and a Cheerleader's Bosom π The best part to me was Sheldon's overreaction to the B+ caused by all the unwanted demands and attention from family and friends disrupting his life (and sleeping patterns). Great Ray Liotta cameo as well!

π§ββοΈ Somehow managed to draft 17 rares in my first Premier Draft and still have a semi-viable 4-color pile. Won the first game on a weird opponent concede moment, where I played Take up the Shield card on the card they were exiling (I couldn't read the card because it was obscured by a creature and gambled that it was a kill spell).

πΊ Young Sheldon S1E3 - Poker, Faith, and Eggs ππ I have a feeling any episode with Sheldon's Meemaw (Annie Potts) is going to be a hoot and a half. The best part about the car theft misadventure was that she beat them to the hospital and covered for them. What a legend!

πΊ Young Sheldon S1E1 - Pilot ππ I never watched more than a couple episodes of Big Bang Theory, but the prequel spinoff always intrigued me a little bit. I hadn't realized that Sheldon's dad was a football coach until I saw the news about his long expected death (which was a part of Sheldon's backstory on BBT) finally happening with a couple episodes left to go in the series. Needless to say a show that's very reminiscent of The Wonder Years, with the nostalgia factor of my own highschool timeframe, and a socially awkward but supersmart protagonist is totally my jam. Love the casting and dynamics with his immediate family and already looking forward to the introduction of his grandma and other interesting characters for him to bounce off of.

πΊ Star Trek: Discovery S5E7 - Erigah π Mol and L'ak, oh how you annoy me. Burnham managed to negotiate a pause on the blood bounty only for L'ak to completely screw everything up with his part in a half-assed escape plan. As usual this season I enjoyed everything in the episode that didn't involve those two all too capably incapable agents of chaos.

π§ββοΈ Alchemy's Heist mechanic (look at 3 random nonland cards from your opponent's deck, exile it and play it for its generic mana cost for the rest of the game) may have or may not have turned me into a degenerate Magic Arena player, but I'm going to enjoy it until they ban or nerf it out of existence. Built the deck and won four straight games.
