๐บ Young Sheldon S1E20 - A Dog, a Squirrel, and a Fish Named Fish ๐ The brief Fish part at the end was downright hilarious, the payoff for why the dog like Sheldon was good, but overall a meh episode.

๐บ Young Sheldon S1E19 - Gluons, Guacamole, and the Color Purple ๐๐ Wallace Shawn joining the show as Dr. John Sturgis, mentor figure for Sheldon, and romantic interest for Connie is actually pretty inspired. His quirky rapport with those two is just ๐๐!

๐บ Young Sheldon S1E18 - A Mother, A Child, and a Blue Man's Backside ๐๐ I can see the Ultra-Baptist Mary overreacting to something Sheldon is into trope getting really old if they keep going to that well, but having her find his Watchmen graphic novel and flip out because of Dr. Manhattan's nudity, the general violence, and adult topics was actually pretty great.

โ๏ธ The kernel update in Ubuntu 24.04 LTS created an issue where the MacBook Air's internal ssd was no longer recognized. The fix was adding intel_iommu=off to the kernel options, but I learned this after thinking I had messed up the update and was better off doing a full system reinstall. Turns out the Live Installer had the same issue so now I had to supply the kernel option twice just to get things installed and booting.๐

๐บ Pluto S1E2 ๐๐ Some interesting new robots like the youthful and highly advanced Atom join the hunt. Unfortunately newly introduced family man robot Brando immediately gets taken out by the mysterious force of nature too when he goes head to head with it. We also get comfirmation that North 2 didn't make it and see some of the interconnections between the robots that are being attacked and their ties to the big robot war in Persia.

๐งโโ๏ธ One funny thing about setting up my younger daughters with MTGA accounts is that they're very into all the available pets and avatar options (which is totally fine and age-appropriate). I have specifically purchased one or two pets over the years, but generally, I've just acquired them through the mastery passes. I've spent some gold on cosmetics and bundles over the years, but the vast majority of my in-game currency goes toward entry fees/card acquisition.

๐บ Pluto S1E1 ๐๐ Watched the first episode of the Netflix anime series and it's pretty good. Intriguing scifi premise of sentient robots living and working amongst humans harmoniously, but something or someone is preying upon the robotic geniuses of the world and a robot detective must stop the killer.

๐บ Star Trek: Discovery S5E8 - Labyrinths ๐ Really annoyed that Mol and the Breen continue to be a major part of the show this season. The more we've learned about the Breen on an individual level, the lamer they are overall. I enjoyed the Burnham mental Labyrinth portion, and the Discovery evasion and problem solving. The Mol and Primarch stuff is just stupid. The Primarch's laughable incompetence and lack of leadership skills were completely cartoonish and I'm just so annoyed, but not quite enough to give this a thumb's down.

๐บ Young Sheldon S1E16 - Killer Asteroids, Oklahoma, and a Frizzy Hair Machine ๐๐ Fun episode where Sheldon getting shafted in the science fair sends him into a self destructive spiral (my favorite part) that ends with him becoming an actor and starring in the high school production of Annie. Hilarious guest role for Jason Alexander as the high school drama teacher who casts Sheldon as Annie and then has to deal with the inevitable consequences.

๐บโฝ๏ธ Welcome to Wrexham S3E2 - Goals ๐๐ Ben Foster sees the writing on the wall and calls it quits, we get to meet some of Wrexham's new veteran signings (who I really like), and Mullin returns to action. It's also quite cool to see the level of these older veteran players who played for smaller Premier League clubs like Steven Fletcher- still class for League Two despite their age. TIL a new saying in reference to Fletcher: "Fit as a butcher's dog!"

๐บโฝ๏ธ Welcome to Wrexham S3E1 - Welcome to the EFL ๐๐ This show just makes me smile, complete soccer comfort food in a 40 minute package. That said, rough start to the new campaign with Paul Mullin going down with a punctured lung in the U.S. friendly against Manchester United and porous defense in the first few League One games.

๐ Our usual route back home from soccer this afternoon was blocked by a single-engine plane's emergency landing on the North-South Corridor between Wellesley and Francis. Thankfully there were no injuries, but now they need to figure out how to get the plane out of there.

๐บ Young Sheldon S1E15 - Dolomite, Apple Slices, and a Mystery Woman ๐ Sheldon and Tam make friends with a smart geologically inclined upperclassman named Libby and everyone predictably overreacts in their usual way. I did appreciate Georgie being the first to pick up on "Sheldon's new girlfriend" (not really), being absolutely unphased that Libby was black, and then poking fun at his dad's surprised reaction.
