🗓 Microcosm - 2025 Feb 22-28
🏃 FEB 28 2025 16:47
Good run with the girls. Took it easy until the end and felt good. Wild that we only ran twice in February because of weather and everybody but me being sick.
☀️ FEB 28 2025 14:38
Beautiful, spring-like day today. Looking forward to a short run with the girls after work.
🤕 FEB 28 2025 07:44
Think I tweaked a muscle in my upper back yesterday while moving office furniture at work. It's not debilitating, just uncomfortable and contributed to the insomnia I experience after taking the dogs out at 3:30 am.
📺 FEB 27 2025 19:54
Severance S2E7: Chikhai Bardo 👍👍 Devastating episode.

I was a big admirer of his work, but the thing I always liked most about Gene Hackman is that he looked like he could have been a long-lost relative of my dad.
🎮 FEB 27 2025 09:48
In light of Windows 10 going EOL soon seriously considering Bazzite for a couple of our old gaming PCs at home.
📹 FEB 27 2025 09:43
Realized today that my old soon-to-be-retired work iMac is one of the two computers I had registered Capto on so I can unregister there and finally install on one of my home Macs again. (I accidentally wiped the other install before unregistering a long time ago.)
🔋 FEB 26 2025 10:33
The plot thickens. The trackpad is actually charging via a different lightning cable and dedicated charger.
🪫 FEB 26 2025 08:52
My Magic Trackpad 2's battery appears to be completely dead. It still works fine via usb-c so I'll probably do that rather than shelling out for a $45 lithium-ion replacement.
🙄 FEB 26 2025 08:48
Sounds like we're probably going to be rearranging our layout at work once again. I actually really like my current location.
📚🎧 FEB 25 2025 18:59
The Source Code audiobook is really enjoyable so far. Wil Wheaton does an excellent job and it's fascinating to hear about Bill Gates's Seattle childhood and the way he butted heads with his parents who were pretty amazing in their own right.
🌬️ FEB 25 2025 10:41
Seems pretty windy out there today.
🚗 FEB 25 2025 08:45
Genuinely curious as to what kind of car Kottke drives that doesn't even have a donut spare. Mine has gotten me out of so many jams over the years.
📺 FEB 24 2025 19:49
Brooklyn Nine-Nine S5E4: HalloVeen 👍👍 The Halloween episodes have always been legendary, but this one was pretty special.
🗽 FEB 24 2025 12:33
Finally saw a response from Representative Baumgartner about the science grant cuts in the paper, unsurprised that he downplayed it and irritated that he didn't address it himself in his weekly newsletter.

Dave Winer is doing interesting things with Wordland and I love the fact that it doesn't cross post. I hate cross posting. That said it doesn't seem to support Markdown and the formatting widget doesn't work in Safari or Orion.

The Gorge is a pretty epic romance action horror thriller! 👍👍
🎧📚 FEB 23 2025 17:07
Started the audiobook version of the new Bill Gates memoir Source Code on Spotify today.
📺 FEB 23 2025 06:52
Finished Dark Matter this morning. Wow! What a mind bender. A new classic in the brilliant-man invents his way into the apocalypse rather than just getting therapy SF subgenre.

7-2 and trophied with my Orzhov Gonti/Zahur/Monument to Endurance deck. Monument did jack the whole draft, but Wreckage Wickerfolk and Mutant Surveyor were huge for me at times.
