🗓 November 2024 Break Day 1
Started off my morning by playing some Magic Arena. Completed my dailies and picked up a couple wins in limited with a Boros Angels deck. Midweek magic started this afternoon, but will pick up on that tomorrow since I already had 4 wins.
Delivered and picked up Nathan from his band class at the high school. Started looking for my missing Draw Squad book in the hour he was gone. It's not in any of the bookshelves I would expect it to be which is frustrating. Did not actually do any cleanup in my office.
Came back and scrounged up a lunch for myself despite having no leftovers to work with. Watched MythicMike's latest deck video (Mono Blue) and took it for a quick spin in the Play Queue afterward and went 2-1.
At 1 pm it was time to get in a short run with the girls. I wasn't really feeling it so kept it around 10 minutes out before we turned around. Conditions were pleasant for late November; cool and overcast but dry. The older two started pushing the pace a little with a mile to go, but we all stayed together which was good. Once we hit the airport I pushed into the lead and won by a second or two.
Spent some more time in the afternoon searching for the book, but no luck. Looked through a couple spots in the garage where we have been gathering items including books to donate. It wasn't there, but I did clear out a big garbage bag the boys had left there after cleaning their room.
Worked on breaking out some tv and movie entries from the recent September, October, and November Microcosm posts for a while. Quit to take a quick shower before dinner. Had two beef burritos and one black bean. Both kinds hit the spot.
Returned to the blog updates before pausing to read two chapters of Deathly Hallows to the family. I've only read the last couple books once when they first came out so enjoying being surprised by my imperfect memory. I think we're pretty close to halfway done.
Now I'm working on blog posts new (this one) and old while listening to episode 1 of CGB's new podcast with the Asian Avenger (it seems to be YouTube only so far).
