So... Axodys?

🏀 One Down, One to Go

Ferris played their most complete game of the season tonight and defeated University 70-45 in the 7:15 pm slot. This leaves us tied with Mead at 7-6 after they lost to Gonzaga Prep tonight. Both teams play make-up games on Saturday that will determine the final seeding going into Districts. Mead faces Prep again and Ferris plays Mt. Spokane. If both teams lose (or Mead upsets Prep) Mead will lock up the third-place spot because of their head-to-head record with Ferris.

Central Valley continued their mercurial week1 by barely beating Lewis & Clark 59-55 last night. If I were them I think I'd rather have Mead finish third and be in their half of the District bracket based on in-season performance; they've handled the Panthers easily both times. Personally, I'd prefer to finish third and be in CV's half of the bracket, but if we do end up fourth it sets us up to exorcise some recent post-season demons 2 if we're going to continue playing. I will say if basketball was not a factor I'd much rather have to drive to Chiawana in Pasco than all the way to Walla Walla from Spokane.

  1. They lost to Valley rival University 64-74 on Tuesday.

  2. Chiawana, Gonzaga Prep, and Richland would be on the menu.
