🏀 Terrible Day
I found out about 5:46 pm that Kellen Erickson, former Ferris point guard and 2019 graduate had died today. He was in a single car crash near the intersection of Baltimore and Freya, a location I've driven by countless times on the way out to my mom's house. Instead of turning with the bend there he crossed the road and crashed directly into a tree. I saw a picture of the crash on the Spokesman Review site and the drivers side of the car was complete caved in by the tree. The crash happened around noon and the car caught fire, but bystanders pulled him out and attempted to administer CPR. According to the reports I read, he was not wearing a seat belt, and when emergency crews arrived at the scene they were unable to resuscitate him.
The team is taking it hard and tomorrow's game against Mt. Spokane has been postponed until Friday, February 7th.
