So... Axodys?

🦃 Thankful in 2024

We had a nice Thanksgiving Dinner this evening with Mary's parents. No extended family, just our full crew, and Eawyn went over ahead of us to visit a while beforehand. Tomorrow we'll head out to my mom's for part two of our holiday meal. I'm definitely thankful for all the leftovers we'll be enjoying into early next week!

2024 has been a good year for me personally. Everyone in my immediate family is healthy and doing well. I've been able to spend a lot of quality time with my younger kids and running with them has been awesome. The older ones are still around, just busy with all of their activities, but lately I have gotten in some practive drives with my sons which have been nice. I've also shifted into a new position at work with additional responsibilities and a nice pay bump. My wife Mary is as awesome as ever and has taken on a couple different part time gigs outside the home where she's been thriving. I'm really proud of everything she's been doing and have tried to step up and take on some more of the household chores (like our unending need to wash dishes)1.

I'm very concerned about what lies ahead in 2025, but for now I'm appreciating all that I have in 2024 and I hope that everyone else is as well.

  1. Thankfully my younger son Nathan is very good about assisting with meal preparation too because that's one thing I've never enjoyed doing.
